Strength Training for the youth athlete - Workshop + Dinner

Whether you’re a parent or a high school athlete, understanding how to train safely and effectively is key to long-term success. Led by Kasia Kilijanek, Onward PT, this workshop will break down the fundamentals of youth strength training—when to start, how to lift safely, and how to build a strong foundation for performance, injury prevention, and confidence in the gym.

Perfect for parents who want to support their athlete’s development and for teens looking to take their training to the next level.

Cost: $20 (includes the workshop, dinner from Whole Foods and a JD Elite class credit)

Forward 45 fitness challenge

Monday, January 27th - Ongoing

  1. Workout 45 minutes daily

  2. Walk or run 1 mile daily

  3. Eat .7 grams of protein per lb body weight daily

  4. Drink 2/3 body weight in ounces of water daily

  5. 30 second cold plunge or shower daily

  6. No alcohol and/or no social media

  7. Attend 20 JD Elite classes total (3x week average)

At the beginning of 2024 we created the Forward 45 Challenge because we wanted a sustainable fitness challenge that created positive habits through discipline, hard work and fueling your body without extreme restrictions. Though the water and protein intake is very specific, we want to remind you that we are looking for progress over perfection. Add a protein into each meal, drink a cup of water before your coffee, walk the dog after work. Work towards your estimated protein/water intake and count it if you are within 10-15 grams/ounces. Again, working towards the goal is what we are looking for. Don’t get hung up on the numbers. If you’re ready to feel your best - do the Forward 45 Challenge.
